Roksan K3: Excellent option for upgrading any audio system

The new Roksan K3 line can rightfully be considered a worthy successor to Kandy traditions. K3 components use improved circuits and technologies; these are exemplary representatives of modern audio technology, representing a respectable class – no longer entry-level, but not yet expensive High-End. This segment is considered the most popular among music lovers who want to experience truly high-quality sound. Roksan takes great care in the production of the K3 series components, which are designed and assembled from selected components in London, some parts of the appliances are made to order, for example the aluminum fronts are handmade in Germany. The models in the series have an elegant design with a number of distinctive features: facades with rounded corners and silver edging, an embossed company logo on the top cover, and a power button traditionally hidden in the left front corner of the bottom panel. Brushed facades of K3 components are available in three colors: Anthracite (silver-gray), Charcoal (dark graphite), Opium (dark bronze).

Roksan K3 Power Amplifier is a final amplifier that can be an excellent option for upgrading any audio system. The device has an optimized power supply (PSU) and has a symmetrical circuit topology. This includes improved control at circuit junctions, reliable, well-designed protection, an improved grounding system and optimized signal paths, which ultimately minimize distortion. A large toroidal transformer installed in the power supply unit, which has a low noise level, helps to get rid of unwanted interference and ensure high output power. As a result, the amplifier is capable of delivering 140 W per channel into a load of 8 ohms, and when using speakers with an impedance of 4 ohms, this figure reaches 220 W.

The Roksan K3 Power Amplifier model is assembled in a reliable metal case and, traditionally for terminals, has a minimalistic design. On the brushed front panel, made of aluminum alloy, there is a single LED indicator of operating modes, and the power supply switch, according to the well-established Roksan tradition, is installed in the lower front part of the chassis.

The Roksan K3 Power Amplifier has two inputs – linear RCA and balanced XLR, to select between which is a mini slide switch built into the rear panel. There are also two similar RCA and XLR outputs on board (selected using the same “slider”), to which you can connect another power amplifier and ultimately create a chain of amplifiers connected in series, which is important when organizing biamping or triamping connection of speaker systems. The Roksan company recommends using this terminal in tandem with an integrated amplifier from the same line for bi-amping. The model can also be used in conjunction with preamplifiers from third-party manufacturers. To connect speaker systems to the Roksan K3 amplifier, two pairs of high-quality screw terminals are used.

The features of the Roksan K3 Power Amplifier include a fairly high damping factor, a low harmonic distortion coefficient and a wide frequency range. The device has an automatic activation system when a signal is received, and if there is no signal within half an hour, the amplifier goes into sleep mode. The model also boasts high build quality and a weight of 14 kg.
