Featuring the latest digital-to-analog converter, an advanced Ultra AL32 signal processing algorithm, and a robust aluminum chassis, this player delivers sound quality that will surpass your expectations. The disc drive is engineered with proprietary Advanced SVH technology, which effectively eliminates internal resonances and vibrations from disc rotation through the use of a robust cast chassis and various damping inserts. Additionally, the mechanism’s low center of gravity further mitigates any vibrations generated during disc rotation. The player’s design also offers resistance to external vibrations, achieved by lowering the center of gravity and positioning the power transformer close to the legs. By minimizing unwanted vibrations, this design enhances the accuracy and clarity of sound reproduction when reading data from the disc.
The model’s design aligns with its counterpart in the series, the Denon PMA-A110 amplifier. Centrally positioned on the aluminum front panel is a display, with the CD drive tray situated above it. The playback control buttons and the tray opening button are conveniently located on the right side of the front panel. On the left side, users will find a power/standby button equipped with an LED, Disc Layer buttons for selecting the SACD layer on hybrid discs, and a Pure Direct button that disables the display and digital outputs. Additionally, LED indicators show the status of the Advanced AL32 mode and SACD playback. The unit features an RCA output, along with optical and coaxial outputs, and includes a pair of IR ports.
Four digital-to-analog converters utilizing BurrBrown PCM1795 chips function in parallel mode, delivering a significantly enhanced level of sound reproduction characterized by exceptional accuracy, a remarkable soundstage, and an optimal signal-to-noise ratio. The Denon DCD-A110 SACD player departs from conventional operational amplifiers for post-filtering, instead featuring a fully discrete filter stage. This stage is composed of meticulously selected and individually calibrated components, chosen by Denon engineers to ensure superior sound quality and an expansive, immersive soundstage.
To prevent interference and noise from the digital components, the power supplies for both the digital and analog circuits are entirely independent and isolated. The power supply design of the Denon DCD-A110 is fully discrete and specifically optimized for audio performance. It incorporates custom Denon capacitors with a capacitance of 3300 μF, designed to meet exacting specifications.
