Noble Audio announces Shogun and Agis II in-ear headphones

Noble Audio has announced two new wired in-ear headphones. Flagship Shogun has no less than thirteen drivers per earbud on board. The Agis II has eight per earbud.

Noble Audio

Noble Audio was founded in 2013 and in just over a decade has established itself as a byword for in-ear monitors (IEM). The company has set a number of benchmarks in the world of premium earphones with a reputation for build quality and design. Often handcrafted using precious materials, the in-ear monitors are miniature works of art and have a serious following among audiophiles and professionals in the sound industry.

Noble Audio has announced a pair of new in-ear headphones, called the Shogun and Agis II. Both the Shogun and Agis II will be officially unveiled at CanJam Singapore on April 5, 2025. Orders will be available soon.

Noble Audio Shogun

The new Shogun IEMs are designed for powerful playback, precise sound, and exquisite craftsmanship. The Shogun is the company’s latest flagship hybrid model, equipped with a 13-driver configuration per earpiece. According to the makers, the Shogun is designed to deliver deep, controlled bass, articulate mids, and extended, natural highs. The IEMs are housed in a 3D-printed resin housing with intricate detailing inspired by the Gusokuarmorr of the Tokugawa Shogunate, combining traditional artistry with innovative engineering.

The thirteen drivers consist of a 10mm composite diaphragm dynamic driver for deep and impactful bass. Then two bone-conducting drivers enhance the wearer’s spatial perception. A half-dozen balanced armature drivers bring precision to the mid-to-high frequencies. Finally, a quartet of electrostatic units provides exceptional transient response and reproduction of micro-detail.

Noble Audio says the spirit of the samurai is central to the Shogun’s design, crafted using intricate spray-painting techniques that mimic the fine textures and layered depth of Domaru-style armor. The golden Oni mask at the center symbolizes strength and precision, while Menuki-inspired geometric accents reflect the artistry of traditional katana grips.

Shogun’s acoustic chamber is designed to optimize frequency response for a balanced and dynamic listening experience that takes the listener to the heart of the music.
