The Denon PMA-900HNE integrated amplifier combines both analog and digital technologies, making it the versatile centerpiece of a modern stereo system. The device is made in Denon’s signature style with a thick aluminum front panel, on which all the necessary controls are very conveniently located. The Denon PMA-900HNE features superior, premium build quality and will look great as part of any AV system. The chassis of the device has a patented vibration decoupling with a 1.6 mm thick steel base plate to protect electronic circuits from mechanical influences.
Denon PMA-900HNE can play audio content from local network libraries (computers, NAS servers) with a LAN/WLAN connection or from external drives via a USB port built into the aluminum facade of the case. Hi-Res formats FLAC, WAV, ALAC up to 24 bit/192 kHz and DSD (2.8/5.6 MHz) are supported. Access to streaming services Spotify, Amazon Prime Music, TuneIn, Deezer, etc. is now available.
Denon PMA-900HNE is equipped with proprietary push-pull amplifiers, made according to the AHC (high output current) circuit, operating in an extended frequency range. The device develops a power of 85 W per channel and is capable of fully pumping even complex acoustics. To customize the sound character, the Denon PMA-900HNE provides tone controls for low and high frequencies, as well as stereo balance. If desired, all additional signal processing circuitry in the amplifier can be disabled by using the Source Direct mode.
The amplifier has an excellent built-in MM/MC phono stage that rivals many stand-alone units. The digital section of the amplifier is represented by three optical and one coaxial inputs, which are capable of receiving a PCM signal with parameters up to 24 bit / 192 kHz. However, the entire digital part of the Denon PMA-900HNE can be turned off if desired to eliminate its influence when listening through the analog inputs.
Denon PMA-900HNE received 2-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with the ability to broadcast audio to Bluetooth headphones. The AirPlay 2 protocol is available, allowing you to organize a wireless multiroom system based on Apple devices. There is support for HEOS, a wireless multi-room ecosystem that provides control of all HEOS components with one application and gives the ability to send audio from tablets and smartphones, streaming services and local storage to any HEOS device. This ensures that the same track is played simultaneously in all rooms with perfectly accurate synchronization, or that different tracks are broadcast to different rooms.
To control the Denon PMA-900HNE, you can use not only a remote control or an application, but also your voice thanks to the support of personal assistants Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Siri, and the proprietary Setup Assistant program helps you quickly set up the receiver.
The amplifier takes special care to separate the digital and analog circuits. To power them, separate secondary windings of the network transformer are used, and the corresponding boards are located as far as possible from each other and are equipped with screens. The microprocessor that controls the amplifier has a special stop mode to eliminate any interference to sensitive audio circuits. In addition, the circuitry of the device uses signal separation by levels (proprietary SLDC technology) to eliminate interference between them. You can connect two pairs of speakers (or one pair via Bi-wiring) to the amplifier using custom screw terminals.
